Narc! Narc! Who's There?
|Don't Bogart that joint!|
Attention local stoners! It's time to start paying more attention to how well you stash your weed. Maybe you should start thinking like a chipmunk. Or a squirrel. Those industrious little critters plan ahead. They prepare for the long, cold winters by storing their nuts where others can't find them. So, hide your nuts because you don't want to be surprised some night by an over-zealous narc knocking at your door!
Speaking of nuts, Indiana's bombastic 5th District Republican Congressman, Rep. Danny Burton has turned into a narc. Burton says White House advisor David Axelrod is ignoring the opinions of millions of Americans. Not only that, Burton thinks Axelrod is smoking something.
Burton went to the floor of Congress Monday night to record his thoughts concerning Axelrod's appearance on the previous Sunday's talk show circuit to promote health care reform. Here's what Burton said:
"Mr. Speaker, this weekend on national television, Mr. Axelrod, who works for the president at the White House, said that the big meeting on the Mall really didn't amount to much, and it really didn't represent what American people think. I don't know what that guy is smoking down at the White House, but I think it might be illegal. The people in this country at the tea parties and on the Mall this weekend are telling every member of Congress and in the Senate they want to cut spending, they don't want more government intrusion into their lives, and they want just to be left alone."
Obviously, Burton is wrong again. It's apparent now that these mighty tea party people and Mall demonstrators are clearly a very small minority of the American public. Last weekend's Mall demonstration was estimated at about 75,000 people. To put that in perspective, contrast that number with the 47 million Americans who don't have any form of health care.
Sorry, Danny... you are so busted!

Oh, Danny Boy, you are such a bastion of virtue!
There's that adultery thing...and that publicly calling a former president of the United States "a scumbag" thing...and that thing about spending so much of your time out on the golf course when you're getting paid from the public trough.
Oh, Danny Boy, what have YOU been smoking?
