Fed Up!
To: Pro-RFRA State Legislators and Gov. Dense Re: "Fixing" the Religious Freedom Restoration Act Memo: You can't put the stink back in the skunk. Our state's reputation is trashed...worldwide. Addendum: Hats off to our local state rep, Sean Eberhart, for voting against this stupid, mean-spirited law.

The only thing funnier than watching our governor try to tap dance his way around the "Religious Freedom Act" debacle would be if he did it while riding a unicycle wearing a clown suit. But a horrible thought occurred - as he sees his plans to run for president go down in howls of derisive laughter, he may decide to run for re-election as our governor, and knowing this state, he might actually win. So I've decided to form a Political Action Committee to help Gov. Dense...uh Pence...run for president.
Please give generously to the Committee Resolved to Encourage and Endorse Pence for president aka CREEP (With a nod to Nixon's Committee to RE-Elect the President)

Proud Hoosier
Indiana made the national news twice this week. First our state was ridiculed and ostracized for the so called Religious Freedom law widely seen as a license to discriminate against gays, and which Gov Dense (really like that) signed behind closed doors. Then we Hoosiers made headlines thanks to an outbreak of AIDS in Scott County that's so bad the gov declared a health emergency and authorized a one-time, special needle exchange program at the urging of the Centers for Disease Control. Hey at least the AIDS epidemic is related to IV drug addiction not gay sex. There's something to be proud of...

The Church of Fred
I see Gov. Dense is going to sign the "Religious Freedom" bill into law.
Passed by the Indiana House 63 - 31 and the Indiana Senate 40 - 10, the bill says I don't have to serve you in my place of business if it violates my religious beliefs. And as a lifetime member of The Church of Fred, I'm all for it! In The Church of Fred, we worship the Flintstones. We're a modern Stone Age family. And I don't want no brain-dead Neanderthals coming into my store! Of course since a lot of my customers are state legislators, that's really going to cut down on business. But I don't care! Cause I'm free! Yeah.

Taste of Indiana
From: Taste of Indiana
Savor this: three stories on the Indianapolis Business Journal's home page this morning, Feb 19, 2015, should give anyone a real flavor for what our fearless leaders in the statehouse believe.
1. State budget proposal shifts aid toward wealthy schools "IPS would see a six-percent reduction in state tuition aid by 2017 despite being one of the state’s poorest districts, with more than 75 percent of children coming from families that are poor enough to qualify for free or reduced-price lunch."
The story says that, statewide, a third of all public schools would take a hit.
2. Bill that riles solar industry passes House committee "A controversial bill to change the guidelines governing Hoosiers using alternative energy sources – including solar and wind power – passed a House Committee on Wednesday."
This story says the people will be punished if they try to free themselves from the bonds of the big utility companies.
3, Senate panel quickly advances religious freedom bill "Republicans on an Indiana Senate committee didn't wait for the late-running Democratic members to arrive Wednesday before pushing through a contentious proposal supporters say would ensure people and businesses could refuse services for same-sex weddings because of religious beliefs."
The story says it's okay to discriminate based on your religion (kind of like the Muslim terrorists do).
Welcome to the dinner table, unless you're poor, environmentally conscious or gay. Chow down Indiana.

Well Mitch and that gang of asshole Repukes takeover today. I`m sure that the next 2 years are going to be the most miserable years we will see in a long time. We progressives have to get our act together. We need to quit all the squabbling with one another and elect more good Democrats. We can start by reelecting the Mayor and picking up some council seats. Its back to basics.
